The Frameless Hardware Company Acquires Columbia Commercial Building Products Assets
Glazing Supply Company Launches FHC Aluminum® Division with Addition of Aluminum Entrances, Storefronts and Curtain Wall Product Offerings
South Gate, CA (April 1, 2021) – The Frameless Hardware Company LLC has substantially acquired assets of Columbia Commercial Building Products from Consolidated Glass Holdings (CGH). The Rockwall, TX-based company offers a complete line of architectural aluminum systems including entrances, storefronts, windows and curtain walls. Through the sale FHC has acquired inventory, fabrication equipment, and product designs for Columbia’s entrance doors, storefront and curtain wall systems. The company’s window line was acquired by Arcadia Inc. in Vernon, CA in a separate transaction. This acquisition marks FHC’s entry to the commercial aluminum storefront market in conjunction with the launch of their new FHC Aluminum brand and major manufacturing expansion at their South Gate, CA headquarters. The latest expansion brings FHC’s manufacturing and distribution footprint to a combined 135,000 sq. ft. and the company now manufactures and supplies a comprehensive selection of all-glass entrance systems, door controls, frameless shower hardware, architectural railings, transaction windows, glazing tools and supplies, and aluminum entrances, storefront and curtain wall systems.
“Architectural aluminum has long been the next logical addition to FHC’s product offering,” said Chris Hanstad, president of FHC. “Columbia’s quality and integrity are well known and the addition of these systems gives our customers a single-source solution to partner with on their projects. It’s peace of mind and added convenience for the industry, and also speaks to FHC’s commitment to American Manufacturing.”
