Overview
This 5-pin tumbler mailbox lock is constructed of diecast and comes with a nickel plated face and dust cover. A security feature of this lock prevents the key from being removed when in the unlocked position, this feature prevents forgetting the key in the lock while at the same time ensuring the mailbox is locked every time. It includes a total of 5 zinc plated steel cams, brass pins, a spring steel locking clip, a dust cover to protect the internal pins and springs from dust and moisture in exposed exterior conditions, and 2 keys. To unlock this mailbox lock, the key must rotate 90 degrees in a counter clockwise direction. Mailbox locks like this one will not allow the user to remove the key until the mailbox has been closed and locked.
