The SPDD Series Diamond Plated Drill Bits heavy layer of diamond coating enables this bit to drill many holes in glass when maintained and used properly. Glaziers Tip: Although plated, these bits can be sharpened one time with a dressing stone to expose some of the remaining diamonds and extend the working life. Other features include 3/8" shaft and a knock-out hole for easy spent plug removal. All diamond bits must always be used with suitable diamond coolant applied by spraying or immersing the bit while drilling. These bits are designed to be used in a production style drilling machine like the FHC3 Tripod Glass Drilling Machine.
