Doug started in the Glass Industry in the 90’s fresh out of college. He went to work for C.R. Laurence as part of their Outside Sales Team covering Glendale to Santa Barbara, and all the towns in-between. Doug enjoyed building relationships and always staying a step ahead of the competition. His territory’s sales were consistently growing quarter after quarter, so it was no surprise he was promoted several times in years to come. He held positions in Technical Sales, Architectural Business Development, Data Management, Product Management, and Editing/Copywriting. Doug was extremely fortunate to have Don Friese, the CEO of C.R. Laurence, as a mentor to teach him the “lay of the land,” especially when it came to building catalogs and marketing brochures.
After 25 years, Doug decided it was time for a change and wanted an entrepreneurial challenge. His skills, operational experience, and years of knowledge about glass related products was a perfect fit for FHC and our innovative spirit. In his new role in FHC Data Management, Doug is keen to wearing many hats and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to get projects done. He is a key figure on the product and data management side, helping FHC’s Leadership Team whenever he can.
