Overview
These unslotted security barrel nuts are constructed of steel and come in a chrome plated finish. These fasteners are manufactured with #8-32 threads and have a reach of 1/2 in., with a 1/4 in. outside diameter, and a 1/2 in. head diameter. Unslotted barrel fasteners like these are commonly used with T-27 Torx and one-way tamper-proof shoulder screws in commercial restroom applications. Barrel nuts like these are also known as sex bolts and Chicago bolts in the fastener industry, and they are designed for use where through bolting is desired with a head on both sides, as commonly used for the installation of restroom stall hardware.
